Our friendly drug treatment staff is dedicated to assisting each resident on their new path to a new life of sobriety. Each resident is viewed as individuals to offer them the best possible care. Our mission at Turning Point Treatment Center is to provide a safe, nurturing, healing environment in which chemically dependent and substance abuse individuals and their families discover a better quality of life!

Executive Director, Operations / Case Manager, Counselor & Interventionist- Jeffrey Benon
Jeffrey Benon has been working and actively involved in the recovery field of Alcohol and Drug addiction since 1980 and is a member of CAADAC and CAADE. As such Jeff is a Certified Addiction Treatment Counselor, C.A.T.C., (#102373). Jeff has been trained and educated in various recovery systems such as; behavioral modification, social model and medical model. Jeff is a graduate of Saddleback College with certificates as a drug and alcohol counselor. Jeff has helped many clients overcome their addiction through teaching them chemical dependency education groups and the 12 Step recovery model. Jeff is also a Nationally Certified Interventionist performing interventions throughout the United States.

Administrative Director/Program Director - Constance A. Aceves, J.D, MS, M-RAS (AO811241242)
Constance holds a Juris Doctorate from Trinity Law and Graduate Schools (Santa Ana), ABD in Clinical Psychology from the Professional School of Psychology (Irvine, CA). Constance also holds a Masters of Science in Counseling and Psychology from Trinity Graduate Schools (Santa Ana, CA) and is a registered Addiction Specialist (Masters Level - A0811241242) having completed that program of study through Breining College (Orangeville, CA). Constance is also a Certified Anger Management Counselor (Level II) from Century Anger Management (Newport Beach, CA). With extensive experience including service as an Intensive Outpatient Director with Able To Change, a Drug and Alcohol Counselor/Youth Counselor with the California Youth Authority and a Treatment Team Supervisor with Ettie Lee Homes For Youth (Santa Ana, CA), Constance's expertise, coupled with her passion for service in the Drug/Alcohol recovery field serves as an asset for Turning Point Treatment Center and its' clients.

Residential Manager- Cindy Smith
Cindy began working in the field of chemical dependency and addiction counseling in 2001 because of her own experience of recovery. Cindy is instrumental in endorsing the principles of the 12 steps and has dedicated her life to helping individuals struggling with addiction, her empathy for clients’ allow her to be a source of guidance for those under her care. Cindy has a CAS certification and training in Anger Management, Conflict Resolution, Crisis Intervention, and Domestic Violence. 
 
Christian Track/Counselor - Steve Wilson, CAS. May, 2009 Saddleback College
Steve has been active in recovery for 9 years, and has been in leadership at Celebrate Recovery at Saddleback Church, co-leading the Men's CODA Group. Specializing in codependency and communication and is experienced in helping clients to identify, evaluate, and address the issues underlying their addictive behaviors, to set boundaries and take back their lives.

Marriage & Family Therapist - Lisa Mills, MFT, NCC, Clinical Therapist
Lisa Mills MFT, is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, with a Master's Degree in Counseling from Loyola University, New Orleans and is also a National Certified Counselor. Lisa's previous clinical experience includes providing treatment in a community and residential setting to individuals, couples and families. Her specialties include working with addictions and dependency, depression, anxiety, domestic abuse or violence, marital or relationship issues, divorce and loss and grief. Her work with clients focuses on the utilization of Cognitive Behavior Therapy to make observable and measurable changes on their road to recovery. In addition to her work at Turning Point, she has a private practice in South Orange County. Some of the fees must be paid directly to the provider and the responsibility of the client.

Program Client Nutritionist - Robert Karlsson
Robert is a certified clinical nutritionist and health care consultant working with Dr. Michael Foudy, D.C., Dr. Elizabeth Lyster M.D., and Dr. Bernard DeBerry M.D. His primary mentor was Dr. Frank Varese, M.D., who was a pioneer in longevity medicine and devoted his practice to finding health and wellness solutions for patients who could not find the answers they needed from their regular doctors. His projects include corporate nutrition, and working alongside the hosts of the reality show, "The Real Housewives of Orange County," and designing healthy lunch menus at the restaurant Valentina.

Consulting Psychiatrist -**Joseph Pursch, M.D.

As Director of the Alcohol Rehabilitation Service at the Naval Regional Medical Center in Long Beach, California from 1973 to 1980, Dr. Pursch gained national attention for the successful treatment of several notable celebrities and public figures.. He served on President Carter's Alcohol and Drug Commission and Ronald Regan's Blue Ribbon Commission on Drunk Driving. In addition to consulting at Turning Point Treatment Center, Dr. Pursch sits on the Board of Trustees of the National commission Against Drunk Driving. Dr. Pursch is also the recipient of The Distinguished Service Medal from the President of the United States and has been listed in the Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Medicine and Best Doctors in America.

Consulting Psychiatrist - **Edward Kaufman, M.D.
Dr. Kaufman, graduated Thomas Jefferson University, Jefferson Medical College, Philadelphia, PA in 1960. He specializes in Psychiatry using innovative diagnosis and treatment planning for a wide variety of behavioral, learning and emotional problems stemming from Addictions.  Affiliated with South Coast Medical Center, Laguna Beach.

Massage Therapist - Gregri Hanson, CMT
As an accredited Massage Therapist, Gregri Hanson has worked on various clients doing bodywork on people in recovery. Hanson is certified from the Healing Hands School of Holistic Health and specializes in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports & Shiatsu message.
